Why steam matters…

It’s been estimated that till 2024 there will be growth in STEM jobs of 11% compared to all others of 7%.

The basis of these jobs are the concepts incorporated in math and science. However, over 50% of students lose interest in these subjects over time in school. The development of critical thinking is essential, this is further developed through exposure through the arts. Developing creativity through the arts is essential for the innovations of new industries and the economic well being of our society. Research has noted that early and continued exposure to these fields improves a students likelihood to continue on into STEAM related careers.
