AIE’s Director of Music and Arts, Malcolm Joseph is releasing his single, “Heal Me.” The track distributed by Throwing Records hits major media platforms today. In this time of uncertainty, “Heal Me” features Carol McGowan and has a message of love and unity for our world. The original track has been remixed by Nick Van Gelder, drummer and producer who has worked with such bands as Incognito, Jamiroquai, Omar, and Reel People.

Originally from Hackney, London, Malcolm has been passionate about music since he was young. In the mid-1980s Malcolm co-founded the band 7th Heaven, who signed with CBS, Arista, and Phonogram, and published with Morrison and Leahy. The group made it into the Top 10 in the dance charts in 1985, and Top 50 in the national charts. He’s also released solo albums and has worked and performed with a multitude of artists including Massive Attack, Neneh Cherry, Soul II Soul, Des’ree, Dave Stewart, and Skye Edwards.

In addition to being a professional musician, he is also an accomplished songwriter and producer. Since 2008, Malcolm Joseph has been the official bass player for the world-famous singer and actress, Grace Jones. Malcolm ran his own recording studio in London where he worked alongside an array of musicians and artists.

On top of his active participation in music for Cornwall’s youth, Malcolm is still pursuing his professional craft, writing, and composing. He is actively touring and working with Grace Jones and has been currently working on her new album, slated for release in early 2021.
